November 19,2006 Pakistan votes to amend rape laws |
A women is raped every two hours and gang-raped every eight hours in Pakistan, according to the country's independent Human Rights Commission. LivingEducation is a Pakistani-Swiss Non Profit Organization that runs different social projects in Pakistan in order to create new life perspectives for the most marginalized people. All projects and services are free of charge. The projects are financed by private donations.
Some of the programs of LivingEducation: Boarding school for girls, Kindergartens, seminars for Kindergarten teachers, health education in rural areas, computer school.
By the name Dast-e-Shafqat; LivingEducation has started social projects for women in Pakistan (legal aid, medical relief, counseling, shelter, vocational training). |
